About the Writer
About Jessica:
Follow me on Twitter: @HapGolightly (this is mostly just random, short musings on things I encounter–typically I converse with other Whedon fans about current and past television. You might become bored with it if you care not about television or my music tastes!)
In addition to author of this blog… I’m a wife, mommy, daughter, sister, friend, church volunteer, coach, lefty, holder of a BA in psychology from a major university, and a seminarian.
Currently I’m working on: My Masters in Divinity at a local seminary, being a great wife to my husband, and a wonderful mommy to my infant son.
Spiritually, I am a United Methodist, but I welcome to my life people of all faiths. I fervently believe that if you don’t believe in something, you will believe just about anything.
In the interest of full disclosure: I’m trying to steer clear of making political statements given my future vocation, but you can pick up on which side of the political fence I sit… if you look.
Some rather random fun facts:
Favorite Writers: C.S. Lewis, Anne Rice, Virginia Woolf, etc.
Favorite Movie: Breakfast at Tiffany’s
I love talk radio, especially Rush Limbaugh (if you don’t like that about me, oh well).
Favorite beverage: vanilla latte, Pepsi Max, or a glass of red wine
Favorite TV show: Buffy the Vampire Slayer (anything from Joss Whedon, pretty much–Hello DOLLHOUSE!)
Favorite Musical Artists: Aimee Mann, Kristin Chenoweth, Frank Sinatra, The Shins, and many (varied) others.
“Friendship is unnecessary, like philosophy, like art… It has no survival value; rather it is one of those things that give value to survival.”
- C. S. Lewis
